Our Research
Transport Processes in the Cell. All life forms rely on active and controlled transport of macromolecules within the cell. We aim to understand structure and function of the Nuclear Pore Complex, an enormous transport organelle and the gatekeeper to the cell’s genetic material in the nucleus. We employ a combination of structural biological, biophysical and genetic methods to study the problem.
